CIS ADVISORY BOARD

Dennis is currently Regional CEO, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, together with overseeing the Group’s partnership distribution channels.

Previously he served as Managing Director of the Strategic Business Group at Prudential plc, and also CEO of Prudential Assurance Company Singapore.

Dennis holds the positions of Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prudential Financial Advisers Singapore Pte. Ltd., and Prudential Life Assurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited. Additionally, he serves as Chairperson and Member of the Members’ Council at Prudential Vietnam Assurance Private Limited. Beyond these roles, Dennis is the President of the Life Insurance Association’s Management Committee and Council Member at The Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore. He also serves as a Director at Prudential Singapore Holdings Pte. Limited and the Singapore College of Insurance. 

Before joining Prudential, he spent 10 years at OCBC Bank, where he led a 3,100-strong consumer banking division as Head of Consumer Financial Services for seven years. In this role he drove the growth of OCBC’s Premier Banking business in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and China serving as Head of Branch and Group Premier Banking and being a member of OCBC Bank’s Management Committee.

Dennis is Singaporean and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business (Honours with Distinction) from Indiana University and has completed the Stanford Executive Programme at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. He is also a Certified Financial Planner.

Eu-Lin leads the Sustainability & Climate Change practice across PwC Singapore, and she is also a member of the wider PwC Global ESG Leadership Team. She helps organisations strategise, implement, report and obtain assurance across a range of Environmental, Social and Governance issues. This includes but not limited to in the areas of carbon measurement, decarbonisation and net zero/carbon-netural pathways, climate risk assessments, impact assessments, green and sustainable finance, sustainability strategy,  sustainability reporting, sustainability assurance. She has worked in London and Singapore and served clients across financial services, government, real estate, marine, oil and gas, consumer, resources and telecommunications. 

Eu-Lin serves on not-for-profit boards where she is a board member and Audit & Risk Committee Chairman of a healthcare board and board member and Audit & Risk Committee Chairman of an international school. She is also the board member of an Institute of Higher Learning where she sits as an Audit Committee member and the Deputy Chairman of its business school. She also serves on committees under the Ministry of Sustainability and Environment. She is also the Deputy Chair of the Sustainability and Climate Change Committee of the Singapore Institute of Accountants. She was also the first chairwoman of a Singapore youth leaders society in its 50 plus year history and also served on the board of the National Youth Council. 

Eu-Lin graduated with a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University. She is an Edwards S. Mason Fellow and an alumnus of Harvard Business School. As a practicing Singapore Chartered Accountant, she believes that accountants can play an important role in fighting climate change and advancing sustainability in business and in the community. 

Wai Hoong is Head of Southeast Asia and as well as Head of Technology & Consumer (Asia) in Temasek. Prior to joining Temasek in 2019, he was a Partner at General Atlantic leading their Southeast Asia investing programme and previously was a Managing Director at CVC Capital Partners.

Earlier in his career, Wai Hoong held a variety of investment management and investment banking roles at firms including Headlands Capital Partners, LLC, Blum Capital Partners LP, and Morgan Stanley.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan.

Hian is a co-founder of Openspace, which was founded in 2014. He now sits on the Investment Committee, focuses on new growth strategies, and represents the firm on the Boards of some of its fastest growing investments, including Kumu, Nutrition Technologies, Love, Bonito and FreshKet. He also led the first institutional fundraising round for Gojek (now GoTo.) He has a great deal of practitioner experience having founded and built Asian Food Channel, a 24-hour pay TV channel, which was sold to US media giant, Scripps Interactive in April 2013. He is currently active on the Board of the Singapore Science Centre and sits on the A*STAR portfolio management committee. Hian holds an MBA from INSEAD Singapore and a Law Degree from Trinity College, Oxford.

Kelvin is a partner at Allen & Gledhill LLP. He is the Co-Head of the Corporate & Commercial Department. He heads the Energy, Infrastructure & Projects Practice, and co-heads the Employment, Health & Safety Practice. Kelvin also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Law Society Pro Bono Services, as well as on the boards of AETOS Holdings and Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association. He is also a member of the Professional Affairs Committee and member of the Advisory Committee of Victoria Junior College and Victoria School. He had previously served as an independent director on the boards of Rolls-Royce Singapore Pte. Ltd., SP PowerGrid Limited, PowerGas Limited, SP PowerAssets Limited, National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre and National Council of Social Service.

Professor Kenneth Kwek is Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer (Digital Health) of Singapore Health Services (SingHealth). He was concurrently the CEO of Singapore General Hospital from 2018 till January 2025. Kenneth is a champion of innovation, leading to a hospital-wide service transformation by improving the quality of patient care and harnessing process re-engineering, innovation and technology to enhance safety and reliability of clinical care and patient outcomes. He oversees Digital Health and is deeply involved in its conceptualising and implementation across SingHealth and is committed to leveraging and future-proofing digital technologies and emerging data structures and architecture to extract greater value from the healthcare system.

Prior to his appointment as CEO, SGH, Prof Kwek was CEO of KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.  He is an obstetrician specialising in Maternal Fetal Medicine, with a clinical interest centered around care for high risk pregnancies, particularly preterm labour, cervical incompetence, pre-eclampsia as well as post partum hemorrhage.

Chuen Hong Lew is a Partner at Granite Asia. He leads the firm’s Partnerships ecosystem and drives Special Projects that support the expansion of Granite Asia’s multi-asset platform.

He brings decades of leadership and operational experience spanning technology, enterprise transformation, policy and regulation, national strategy, and complex systems. Prior to joining Granite Asia, he served as Chief Executive of the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), spearheading Singapore’s Digital Tech push as “Architects of Singapore’s Digital Future.”

Before IMDA, Chuen Hong had a distinguished career with the Republic of Singapore Navy, culminating in the pinnacle appointment as the Chief of Navy. He was awarded the Overseas Service Medal for operational deployment in the North Arabian Gulf, in support of Iraq’s post-war reconstruction.

He has also served on numerous boards and international bodies, including the Singapore Space Agency (OSTIn), ST Engineering, Duke-NUS Medical School, and the Maritime and Port Authority. He was Board Chairman of Pick Network, Co-Chair of the Digital Trust Centre and Singapore’s AI Safety Institute, and a Commissioner at the UN International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Broadband Commission.

Chuen Hong is currently a Fellow at the Stanford University, Institute of Human Centred AI (Stanford HAI). He graduated from Stanford with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biology. He was also Sloan Fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Wee Lee is a non-executive independent Director at QAF Limited and an advisory board member of the Singapore Management University College of Integrative Studies (CIS).

Wee Lee Loh was formerly the Group Chief Digital and yuu Rewards Officer, overseeing yuu Rewards, Retail Analytics, and Retail Media. He joined the Group in September 2023 as the Group Chief Digital Officer, where he has been driving the growth of the Group’s digital businesses.

Prior to joining DFI, Wee Lee held various senior management roles with Lazada Group, serving in both regional and country business roles across corporate development, innovation and general business management. As the CEO of Lazada Singapore, he led both the Lazada marketplace and Singapore’s leading online grocery Redmart, transforming the business towards growth and sustainability.

Wee Lee also held leadership roles in two Singapore-listed engineering and technology companies, leading strategy, corporate development and business operation roles across multiple locations. He led and incubated the growth of emerging new businesses in energy, infrastructure, robotics, automotives and AI-linked domains. Wee Lee began his private sector career as a management consultant with McKinsey and Company across Asia Pacific and has lived and worked in more than 10 countries.

Wee Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Economics (Summa Cum Laude) from Cornell University and graduated as a Merrill Presidential Scholar. He also holds a Master of Arts majoring in Statistics from Harvard University.
 

Matthew Michellini is Partner, Head of Asia-Pacific at Apollo and a member of the Firm's Leadership Team.

Matt joined Apollo in 2006 in Private Equity and has played a pivotal role in the creation and success of many of Apollo's largest growth initiatives, including Athene, Hybrid Value, Apollo Dedicated Insurance Program, Natural Resources, and the Financials Institutions Group. Matt serves as Investment Chair for Apollo's Hybrid Value business and Apollo Asia's businesses.

Matt is currently a Board member for Generation: You Employed. He previously served on the boards of Challenger, Athene Holding Ltd., Venerable Holdings, MaxCap, Aleris Corporation, Metals USA, Noranda Aluminum, One Main Financial, and Warrior Met Coal. Matt was also a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Lazard Frères & Co.

Mr Ong Tze-Ch’in is Chief Executive of PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency. In this role, he is responsible for the supply of clean water, the reclamation of used water, the management of storm water, and the protection of Singapore’s coasts against sea level rise.

Prior to PUB, Tze-Ch’in was Deputy Secretary (Resilience) at the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, where he oversaw water and food policies, as well as the Ministry’s international relations, communications and engagement, and emergency planning functions. Before that, Tze-Ch’in served 2 tours in the Ministry of Education (MOE) family. He was the Chief Executive of SkillsFuture Singapore and concurrently Deputy Secretary (SkillsFuture) in MOE; and prior to that, the Coordinating Divisional Director of the Higher Education Group in MOE. Before his Public Service career, Tze-Ch’in started out in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), attaining the rank of Brigadier General after almost 25 years of service. His last 2 appointments in the SAF were: Director of Military Intelligence / Chief C4I; and Commander of the 3rd Singapore Division.

Tze-Ch’in currently serves on the Board of the Housing and Development Board, the Advisory Board of Singapore Management University’s College of Integrative Studies and Member of Tropical Marine Science Institute’s Distinguished Advisory Council. Tze-Ch’in previously served in multiple Boards of various organisations - the Institute for Adult Learning, Workforce Singapore, Employment and Employability Institute Pte Ltd (e2i), Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic and ST Electronics. Tze-Ch’in was also previously Chairman for Sembawang Country Club.

Tze-Ch'in received a Masters in Business Administration from INSEAD in 2010 and a Masters in Defence Studies from King's College London in 2006. He graduated from Stanford University in 1998 with Masters and Bachelor degrees in Electrical Engineering.

Sandhya Devanathan is a global business leader with experience in scaling businesses, building strong teams, and driving product innovation. She currently serves as the Vice President and Head of India at Meta, where she leads the country strategy/operations and fosters key partnerships with businesses, creators, and ecosystem partners across Meta's family of apps. Sandhya and her team are passionate about harnessing Meta's potential to accelerate India's techade.

Sandhya started her career with Citibank in 2000 with roles in strategy, product and portfolio management in India, the Philippines and the US. She then led the retail banking and payments product group as Managing Director at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore. In 2016, she joined Meta and helped expand the company's presence in Singapore and Vietnam, and also helped lead the company's initiatives in e-commerce in Southeast Asia. In 2020, she moved to lead Meta's gaming business in the Asia-Pacific region.

A passionate advocate for women in business, Sandhya actively supports gender diversity and inclusion as the executive sponsor for Women@APAC at Meta alongside various other initiatives she's spearheaded over the course of her career. Sandhya serves on the global board of US-India Business Council (USIBC) and the National Library Board in Singapore. She is a board observer for Jio Platforms. She is co-chair of the FICCI National Committee on Media & Entertainment and the CII National Committee on IT and ITeS.

Teo Lay Lim is a seasoned business leader of over 36 years, and has played key roles in business transformation and new business startups in Singapore and the region.

Lay Lim retired as a Senior Managing Director of Accenture in 2021 after a career spanning 33.5 years. Her roles during this time are characterised by:

• Setting up new businesses for the firm, setting up Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in 2000, Accenture Analytics and Accenture Sustainability Services in 2008 - for the Asia Pacific region
• Entry into new spaces, leading the firm’s entry into the Healthcare sector through an transformational engagement in 2003, and
• Executing Accenture’s own transformation, leading the establishment of new geographical entity of Southeast Asia, which she ran from its inception in 2011 until her retirement in 2021.

Lay Lim’s international experience included two years in Shanghai, and as a member of the leadership team for a global transformation program in which she spent 18 months across  Paris, Hong Kong and Seoul.

Lay Lim came out of retirement in 2022 to lead SPH Media in its first phase of transformation as a newly set up CLG (Company Limited By Guarantee) following a restructuring exercise. She retired from SPH Media in July 2024. During this time she also served on the Global Board of INMA, the International News Media Association, and WAN-IFRA, the World Association of News Publishers.

Lay Lim currently serves on the Board of UOB as a member of the Executive Committee and Audit committee, and Workforce Singapore where she chairs the Remuneration Committee. 

Lay Lim graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from the National University of Singapore. She took part in MIT Sloan School of Management’s Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program from 2014-2016 and the Leadership Development Program at IMD in 2009.

Janice Leow is a Partner and Head of Southeast Asia Private Capital. She is also Co-Head of Services & Tech Services, and a Member of the PPR for the BPEA EQT funds. 

Janice has been with EQT Partners since 2011 and has led a wide range of transactions both globally and across Asia-Pacific, including the successful transformations of companies such as AGS Health, TELUS Digital, Straive, and Property Guru. Prior to joining EQT Partners, Janice also worked with Bain & Company in the U.S. and in Southeast Asia. 

She holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, an MSc in Management Science from the London School of Economics, and graduated with First Class Honors in Economics & Management from Oxford University.
