We are far from the world where there were clearer, absolute answers, but living in one contested on every front: on borders and wokeness, and where old arrangements and alliances in economics and politics are being remade at speeds faster than they were made.
Here at the CIS, we believe that our best bet in such a world is a thorough-going commitment to inter-disciplinarity. The world we are in cannot be conceptualised in black or white, but in black and white. We will not be contemplating a false choice between humans or machines, but we are entering a world co-created by humans and machines. This conceptual, disciplinary, and methodological “and” is the heart of integrative solutioning that the CIS is dedicated to.
Our Bachelor of Integrative Studies (Individualised Major) Programme is the first and only one of its kind in Singapore to respond to the reality of our hyphenated world. Whether it is cybersecurity, fintech, or biotech, the graduates of the 21st century will need a set of composite skills to adroitly navigate the complexities of modernity.
