In a commentary, SMU Associate Professor of Science, Technology and Society Winston Chow explained the outsized risks and opportunities for coastal cities like Singapore in a warming world. He also warned that the window for climate action is rapidly closing, and he shared about how building climate-resilient communities can address the climate change issue and secure a liveable future. Assoc Prof Chow is Lead Author in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report on Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability.
