Nexus (MINDEF)

Nexus (MINDEF) is a key partner for COR2603: Singapore – Imagining the Next 50 Years (delivered as an SMU-X course) focussing on the promotion of Total Defence in Singapore. We have had more than 40 project proposals emerge from this collaboration, and several have been adopted and implemented island-wide in schools and our community.

Equinix

Equinix partners with CIS through the SMU-X class “Technological innovations enhancing urban sustainability.” In this course, students interact with sustainability leads in Equinix to design a project answering a problem statement addressed on how technology can enable different aspects of sustainability for employees within the company, or for their stakeholders they engage with. With their kind support, students have the opportunity to learn from sustainability professionals in other sectors to understand the best practices of technological innovations, and evaluate if common aspects of these technologies can be applied to Equinix’s benefit.

Ray of Hope (RoH)

Ray of Hope (RoH) is a registered charity that serves the most vulnerable communities in Singapore. Its crowdfunding platform is a vital tool to achieve this mandate, and RoH partners with CIS through SG50 (COR2603) to advance its mission of strengthening Singapore’s social compact. Examples of this partnership include RoH’s implementation of our students’ project on UX to increase donations on its crowdfunding platform, and a data tagging proposal as a potential proof of concept to enhance RoH’s data management.
