UN report spells out feasible ways to defuse climate 'time bomb'

Commenting on the Synthesis Report by the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), SMU Associate Professor of Urban Climate Winston Chow who is a lead author of one of the IPCC’s recent reports said, “The report is important as it is the last comprehensive science assessment of climate change by the IPCC for the next five to six years. By then, we’d know if the key 2030 goal of halving global greenhouse gas emissions on the path to net-zero emissions around 2050 can be attained.”
