Delivering the keynote address at the 7th Annual Wee Kim Wee Soka International Seminar on Global Peace and Understanding held in SMU, Senior Minister of State Janil Puthucheary emphasised that meritocracy is not a perfect tool, and Singaporeans must work to remove biases and level the playing field for all. Education is a starting point, and the government is exploring new technologies and allocating resources to provide tailored curriculums for individual students. The Soka International Seminar focuses on the Big Questions explored by the SMU Core Curriculum, with the aim of advancing the frontiers of queries through engagements with the public.
