In an Interview, SMU Associate Professor of Urban Climate Winston Chow discussed how innovation in technology could help save the planet and be a powerful enabler across the value chain. He shared that innovation and technology are evolving well in responding to the challenges caused by climate change. While one of the biggest impacts of technology on climate change points towards renewable energy, Assoc Prof Chow reminds that technology should be viewed as a means to an end and that education is also critical in making users more cognisant of e-waste and how to consume technology in a more sustainable manner.
