SMU Associate Professor of Science, Technology and Society Winston Chow, and one of the authors for the sixth Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, commented that with global warming, the warmer months in the year will now report even higher temperatures. He pointed out that ASEAN countries could counter climate change through the sharing of information, scientific knowledge, and education, to understand the possible risks that their countries may face, to stand united in reducing carbon emission and fight climate change.
